Pair of SIEMENS KLANGFILM EL84 Mono Tube Amplifier in very good condition
-with Speaker output for low impedance (6-15 Ohm) speakers-
You are bidding on a nice pair of vintage Siemens Klangfilm Type 6S Ela 2427c (6 S Ela 2427 c, 6SEla 2427 c) push pull 10 watt mono amplifier.
These units were build from 1956 to 1960 in West Germany from Siemens & Halske for public buildings and small cinemas. Both amps use only exellent electronic parts and were designed for 24 hour continuous operating.
The amps are carefully cleaned, completly technical checked and in 100% working condition without hum or other unwanted noise. Close serial numbers 130177 and 130246.
The sound is clear, full of details and sweet.
Both amps are in original condition, except of the Siemens 0.1uf coupling caps which were leaking and replaced with selected philips mkp caps.
Furthermore the input transformer (for the microphon inputs) is missing in both amps (to avoid hum the input is internal terminated with a 1K NOS Siemens resistor).
These nice EL84 amps sounding much better than the bigger Klangfilm EL34 amplifiers.
The play on the same level like the Leak stereo 20, Eugen Bauer VT3 , Pilot 232 or the Dynaco ST35!
