What makes this system better than the others: This is a retail system. Many of the systems on ebay are manufactured in the orient for the lowest price possible. In particular, the systems with hundreds of features and a price too low to believe- way lower than the Vipers, Code Alarms and Omegas of the world. Because the systems are being sold to suckers on ebay(!!!) and not car alarm/car audio shops, the quality and reliability of these funked up products is typically absurdly low. The systems don't handle the current draw of real cars driven by real Americans. AMHIK- I have been selling car alarms and remote starters face to face by the hundreds and thousands to car audio shops for years and on ebay for almost 10 years! Well get this- Omega dealers are the most loyal dealers in the business- trust me, I sold against them for years as a Code Alarm and Viper distributor. Why are their dealers so loyal? One simple answer is Reliability. OK, so imagine you are a Car Stereo shop in Michigan and you don't sell much audio September through March. But you sure sell a ton of remote car starters and alarms. Most shops install 5-8 per day per technician (depending on the car). So lets say you are a middle of the road shop and have 3 techs, so you install about 20 a day. If your technicians have to service the systems they install, like swapping transmitters for customers, or reprogramming systems or swapping modules, they can't install as many systems. If this isn't your first Christmas as a car audio shop in Michigan, then you know your appointment book is at least 1 week out the entire months of December and January. The more you can install, the more likely you are to able to pay your rent! Not to mention, if you are swapping parts all season long, you have hundreds, if not thousands of dollars and dozens of systems that you can't sell because they are broken or missing parts or ??? So the shops carry Omega- NOT Chinese domestic market EBAY JUNK!
What else? Are these better than Viper, Clifford, Compustar and Code Alarm? This system is bulletproof. This system is loaded- all the features of the top of the line 1-way from all the best brands. What makes this BETTER is the fact that these same systems sell to car audio shops in case quantities of 6 for $75 each! I bought WAY too many- more than you could possibly even imagine- in order to secure a price that can not be beat. This price is UNHEARD OF! No need to join a club, you don't even have to know anybody! Just by finding this listing, you found the best deal on the market! There is NO BETTER SYSTEM FOR ANYWHERE NEAR THIS MONEY!
Can I install it myself? Professional installation is recommended. The Omega systems are perhaps the most straightforward systems to install- ever. Installation instructions are included. But installations aren't about the system as much as they are
about the vehicle and the person doing the work. There isn't much to be afraid of. Most vehicles
will require about 25 wires to be hooked up for complete alarm, starter
operation with keyless entry and trunk release. That is only 10 more
than a car radio. The most difficult part usually is figuring out the
color and location of the wires in your vehicle. That information is
available here free of charge with purchase of the system, I only ask you to use ebay's contact the seller link to send me the request after purchasing and paying for your system. If you
aren't afraid to take your car apart, you understand general wiring
concepts, and you know how to make quality, reliable connections in the
copper wiring of your vehicle, give it a shot! What else will I need?
What else will I need? For many vehicles,
everything you need to do the job is in the box. For alarm operation, only a very small number of vehicles require extra parts outside of standard shop supplies. Installation of the remote starter portion of this system may require additional parts- read on. Since the early 1990s, vehicle manufacturers have offered passive anti-theft ignition
immobilizer systems on certain models and trim levels.. Some of these systems are obvious, you have a chip
in the key that you can see, or there is a variation in the size, color or style of the key head. To remote start vehicles
equipped with an anti-theft system, you need to fool the car into
thinking the key is in the ignition when the remote start system attempts to start the engine. To make this happen, you need to buy a "bypass
module". Personally, I prefer the term anti-theft integration module
because it isn't really a bypass of the system. A properly installed
remote start system does not make the vehicle more susceptible to
theft. If you aren't sure whether your vehicle has an anti-theft system, send me an email with
the year make and model of your car and I'll tell you. I carry virtually every module, I can tell you if one is needed for your vehicle.
