You are bidding on a gently used ORTOFON RMG-309 Tonearm with original ORTOFON SPU-GT Cartridge.
This tonearm is complete with the original cartridge. Take a look at the pictures. The paperwork describes this 16 inch arm as “designed for broadcast and professional and highest quality play back systems."
An additional empty headshell (not branded) is included. The empty headshell does not contain a cartridge. The armrest is included but one side is broken off. The plastic piece is included and the armrest can probably be put back together with a drop of superglue.
Original paperwork and installation instructions are included. The instructions refer to a “template card” which is not with the included paperwork. Diagrams of the pin out arrangement are included but there is NO connector cable. The connection in the arm base looks like a female tube-type connector; a connector cord shouldn’t be difficult to fabricate or obtain.
The arm base is attached to a supplementary custom fabricated aluminum base; which was used to secure this arm to the original turntable base (turntable is not included).
As a piece of vintage electronic equipment this arm and cartridge are not guaranteed operational. My father (this is from his estate) was an electronics technician and a stereo-quality-fanatic and he wouldn’t have put up with it’s not functioning. Everything looks like it is great shape, but without a connector cable, I couldn’t connect it to my receiver to test it.
