Very rare National HRO Senior serial number D49. This receiver was among the first 50 HROs made and is thus very early. Most early HROs have been butchered or are in poor shape. This one is remarkably original as the photos show. I tested it and it works. I was only able to pick up stronger stations with a short wire antenna, indicating that a few resistors or capacitors may need replacing. However, I will leave that to the winning bidder as many strive to keep the underside original and wish to replace bad components with original types. The chassis has the original black paint in super condition. The front panel looks to have original paint with some loss at the mounting screw holes as shown. The cover is excellent and the correct type with the small holes. The BFO works. Included is the proper low voltage (2.5v) doghouse power supply in good working condition. The power supply looks to have been over-sprayed in black but the original crinkle paint pattern is intact. Included are three coils. Two are the correct early type though they don't have serial numbers on them and I'm not sure the first ones did. The coils cover: 1.7 -4.0 (white scales); .9 - 2.05 (black scales); 7 - 14.4 (white scales). Early HROs are very rare and almost never show up as original as this one! Needless to say I don't have another one like it once it is gone.
It will be properly packed with sheet building foam for protection. That and the boxes is about $20 of the shipping cost. Shipping cost is to west coast. It may be less if you are much closer. The power supply and receiver will be packed separately for protection. I ship via Fedex Ground or US Postal Service. Payment in US dollars must be received within 10 calendar days from close of auction, or item will be released for sale. International bidders must pay by PayPal in US dollars. I will pack very well but will not insure international shipments.
