Stunning Garrard 301 Grease Bearing in beautiful operating and cosmetic condition. Mounted in the orignal, beautiful gloss black, spring loaded plinth with bubble level.
The perfect tonearm for this outstanding set up is the very rare SME 3012 Version 1. This was the very early version of this famous tonearm and considered the best by many an audiophile. The arm comes with the original SME bakelight headshell, all counterweights and the optional(at the time) anti skate weight and bracket. The arm performs perfectly and is in fantastic cosmetic condition. For much improved reliability and performance, I installed the RCA connector kit eliminating the often troublesome SME connectors. This allows one to use any RCA interconnects they choose.
This combination performs so well together, I am going to try to keep it together for this auction. If the reserve is not met, I might try to sell separately at a later date. However, for someone looking for the ultimate Garrard 301 set up, ready to go with the perfect tonearm, you can't do better than this.
Also included is the original(not a copy) Garrard operating manual and copy of the manual for the SME 3012.
